Kennedy Center Hearing Loop Helps Composer Enjoy Music Again

The composer, Richard Einhorn, told the New York Times that his first experience of hearing loops made him cry for joy.

A hearing impairment left him unable to enjoy auditorium music and he thought he might never experience the joy of listening to public music recitals again. Then, he visited the Kennedy Center for a performance of the musical “Wicked”, and was amazed that he was able to hear a music performance in full detail for the first time since losing most of his hearing at age 57.

Listening Loops Installed at Fauquier Community Theatre

Fauquier Hearing Services has donated a Hearing Induction Loop System and installation to the Fauquier Community Theatre.

“We decided to donate this system to Fauquier Community Theatre after one of our patients told us they had to stop attending the theater programs because they could no longer hear or enjoy the productions,” said Dr. Diane Markva, owner of Fauquier Hearing Services.
